Age 76, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. He honorably served our country for 42 years with the NM Army Reserves and the NM Air National Guard. Antonio was a man of many interests. He enjoyed reading daily newspapers and periodicals and relished being outdoors and became captivated with all weather phenomena. He was loved by numerous nieces and nephews whom he encouraged to stay single until the age of 35. He will be missed immensely.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Antonio is survived by G. Henry Cortez (Viola), Margarita Cortez, Rita Villa (Tony)
Helen Cortez, Jose Cortez, Sally Cortez, J.V. Garcia (Betty), Nila Cortez, Dolores Cortez, Delia Cortez Collier.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 9:00 am also at the church with Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Antonio's honor to San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church Restoration Project, 2005 N. Plaza NW, 87104.
