Beatriz Irizarry, our courageous and beautiful sister was called home by our Lord. Beatriz enjoyed cooking for her family, and listening to music, and dancing salsa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria Magdalena Ferrer Velez and Roberto Leonides Jordan Saavedra.
Surviving her are her siblings, Robert Saavedra and Elba Lydia Saavedra; daughters, Aisha Irizarry, Salima Irizarry and Adalydia Estrabao; granddaughter Angela Maria Martinez and grandson; nephew Maceo Jean-Pierre; great-nephews Maceo Xavier Jean-Pierre, Diego Jean-Pierre and Antonio Lawson; niece Khadijah A. Rahman and great-niece Alysia Vallejos. We will miss you, hermanita querida.”
A Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Garcia Mortuary~Chapel of Angels on the corner of 8th and Iron with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 9:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW with Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
