Age 69, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on May 17, 1947 to Grace Rose Candelaria. He loved his family and grandchildren and was a Chicano activist with Brown Berets.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Josephine; children, Michael, Kathryn, Josie, Benita, Benjamin Jr. and Mary; 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and extended family.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary Chapel , 717 Stover Ave. SW. A final viewing will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels on the corner of 8th and Iron.
