She was born in Mills NM April 21, 1928. Caroline was an amazing mother, nana, sister, auntie and friend to many. She was a kind, loving, generous, and strong mother who spread her faith throughout her family. She was always willing to help those in need. She loved reading, music, and most importantly spending time with family. We will miss you and love you always.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Rosa Arellano; husband, Juan Martinez; brothers, Rudy Arellano and Bern Arellano; son in law, Matthew Chavez.

Caroline is survived by her children, Carol Montoya and husband, Mark, Mike Martinez and wife, Tammy, Jean Chavez, Jan Martinez and son in law, John Case; grandchildren, Mark and Katrina Montoya, Cyrus Owens, Amanda Martinez, Felicia Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Johnny and Joshua Case; sister, Mary Sanchez.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:00 am at San Jose Mission Catholic Church, 2118 Los Luceros Rd. NW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
