Centeno, Celestino P.
Age 97, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was born on May 19, 1917. Celestino served in World War II, under General Patton, he volunteered many many hours at the VA Hospital, DAV and VFW. Undoubtedly he will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prajedes and Francisco Centeno; daughter, Sylvia Green; son, Peter M. Centeno; brothers, Mike Centeno, Nick Centeno, Frank (Julio) Centeno and sister, Pauline Barker.
Celestino is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara Centeno; two sons, Cicero Centeno and wife, Eva, Celestino Centeno Jr. and wife Maria; daughter, Anna Listy and husband, Tony; two brothers, Frank "Grandpa" Centeno and Phillip Centeno; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Garcia Mortuary~Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave. SE with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm.
