Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and nana. Crucita was born in Punta de Agua, NM on July 17, 1939 to Marcelino and Predicanda Chavez. Crucita went home to rest on October 25, 2016. She loved being with her family, listening to Spanish music, going camping and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Torrez; parents, Marcelino and Predicanda Chavez; siblings, Ruby Vallejos and Rubel Chavez.
Crucita is survived by her children, Anthony Torrez, Michael Torrez, Helen Lopez and husband, Gilbert; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway SE with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jacob Mendez, Joseph Mendez, Sebastian Torrez, Brandon Mendez, Carlos Garcia and Andrew Lovato.
