Age 87, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born on January 15, 1931. Efren loved the lottery, ice cream, popsicles, Pepsi and all foods.
Efren is survived by his wife, Maria Chavez Mares; children, Fransisca Mares, Antonio Mares, Carlota Mares, Eva Mares, Juan Mares, Estela Mares; 41 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.
A Velorio will be held from 2:00-10:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Grace Worship Center, 1700 Atrisco Dr. NW. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018, 10:00 am, at Grace Worship Center. Interment to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be Antonio Mares, Obed Gallegos, Victor Trejo, Robert Villa, Julio Dominguez and Esteban Villa. Honorary Pallbearers willbe Josue Gallegos and Joel Trejo.
