Emily Ann Moraga, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away May 9, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, having been born in Belen, New Mexico on September 5, 1946.
Known affectionately as "Mila," Emily lived a life full of love and devotion to her family. In 1963 she married the love of her life, Jerry Moraga, with whom she raised their family in Albuquerque. Emily worked at APS for a few years before transitioning to retail work and finally choosing to stay at home to focus on raising her children.
Emily had a passion for creativity and enjoyed activities such as sewing and making ceramics. She found joy in attending family functions at Matanzas, dancing at parties with Jerry, and trying her luck at the casino. Emily's talent for crafting meant she loved making things to give as special gifts to her loved ones.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, father Maximiliano and mother, Tarcila, Sibilings, Chapo and Mary. She is survived by her children, Jerry Moraga (wife Germine), Robert Moraga (wife Ida), Johnny (wife Kelly); grandchildren, Lytisha, Leann, Robert Jr, Amanda, Ashley, Joseph, Isaiah; and great-grandchildren, Shayla, Analeah, Micah, Azekiel.
Emily Ann Moraga touched the lives of many with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the legacy of love she leaves behind.
