Ernest Perea

Ernest Eugene Perea, loving father, brother and uncle, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, at the age of 58. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on June 22, 1960, to  Sara Ashe Perea and Clarence Perea.  They met the challenge of raising Ernie, who was diabetic, and gave him an awesome start in life.  Ernie graduated with a large class from Del Norte High School and was looking forward to his class reunion in September.  He was most proud of his two sons; Elijah and Ethan, both residents of Texas.  He retired from City of Albuquerque - Waste Management.  He was a great mechanic and loved working on cars and trucks.  Ernie enjoyed life and maintained contact with many family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Clarence Perea.

Ernest is survived by his sons, Ethan and Elijah Perea; brothers, Chris, Rick and Paul Perea; many members of the Ashe and Perea families, who will miss his joyful presence; as well as many friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services ~ Alameda Mortuary , 9420 4th St. NW, Albuquerque.

Ernie's family would like to acknowledge the many medical professionals who assisted him throughout his medical challenges.  In lieu of flowers, his family requests tributes to the American Diabetes Assoc. or another charity of your choice.
