Sanchez, Eva Anita
Age 71, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was born in Socorro, NM on December 28, 1950. Eva was a native New Mexico. She raised her family in Albuquerque. She worked in hospitality for most of her career. Eva was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed visits to the church fiestas as well as cooking special foods for our birthdays and holidays. She also enjoyed her creative side with embroidering. She enjoyed spending time with and caring for her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anselmo and Lorenzita Anaya; husband, Herman Valdez; sisters, Mary Lou Chavez, Ida Anaya, Irene Anaya.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Theresa Sanchez, Dolores Hernandez and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Monique Sanchez, Miguel Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, Albert Jaramillo, Angel Winningham and husband, Cody, Makayla Armijo; great grandchildren, Isabella Winningham, Isaiah Winningham, Malachi Winningham, Eli Mowder; brothers, Ricky Anaya and Andy Anaya.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022from 2:00-2:30 pm with a service to follow at 2:30 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE and a reception to follow from 3:00-5:00pm at the Strong Thorne Life Event Center.
