Florinda Garcia 83 lifelong resident of New Mexico passed away Sunday January 22 ,2017 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born April 22, 1933 in Tajique, NM to Florencio and Romoncita Zamora. She married Robert Garcia on July 20, 1957 in Albuquerque. He proceeded her in death on November 19, 2010 after 53 years of marriage. Flora retired from Sunwest Bank to help care for her grandchildren who were also at her side during her last days. She enjoyed bowling, crafting and soap making. Flora will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Flora is survived by her sisters, Bertha and Vita; children, Geri, Georgianna, Delora, Paul, Anthony and Joseph; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, on the corner of 8th and Iron. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway Blvd,. SE with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
