Francisco Ruiz

Francisco Jesus Efren Ruiz, age 75 , passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

He was born in Albuquerque, NM, on November 3, 1943, to  Jacobo P. Ruiz and Margarita Mora. Francisco's heart was his family. He was giving, loving and supportive to everyone. He could make anyone smile with his jokes, no matter how corny they were.  He was a Barber for 52 years and owned his own shop. He was Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion for over 30 years. He loved to listen to old time rock n roll and good 50's music and dance and dance and dance. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and attended ALL their events. He was a boxer, wrestler, tumbler, softball player, bowler and football player. He was forever loyal to the Albuquerque High School Bulldogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Margarita Ruiz.

Francisco is survived by Gloria Ruiz; his children, Antoinette (Rodney), Francisco (Nikki), Alicia (Adrian); six grandchildren, Dominic, Adrien, Alex, Tiffany, Leroy and Christian; three great-grandchildren, Santiago, Noah and Zayden; three brothers, Joseph (Patricia), Procopio (Mary), and Ramon Ruiz (Lori) and many nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW. A Mass for Francisco will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 9:45 am. Interment will be held at Escobosa Cemetery. A Potluck celebration of Francisco's life will be held from 3-6 pm at the Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall. Attendees are invited to bring a dish or dessert.
