Barela, Frank J

Age 76, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on December 30, 1942. His family was everything to him, he loved to spend time with his grandkids and watching them play sports. He enjoyed watching western movies, exotic birds, playing the slots at the casino, going to the gym everyday, hanging out with Albuquerque High Alum groups, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia and was a great dancer. He kept up his yard with his best friend sparky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette Barela; his parents, Fortunato and Elisa Barela and brother, Cipriano Barela

Frank is survived by children, Nancy Pohl and husband, Kevin, Cindy Maestas and husband, Frank, Frank F. Barela and wife, Stephanie; nine grandchildren, Nicolette Pohl, CJ Maestas, Michael Pohl and wife, Devyn, Franko Maestas, Dominique Pohl, Courtney Maestas, Kevin "Spike" Pohl, Carsyn Maestas, Zachery Barela; brother, Richard Barela and sister, Lorraine Continola.

A Visitation will be held Monday, July 8, 2019, 6:00-7:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, Located on 8th Street and Iron, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A second Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 8:00 am followed by a Mass at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
