Chavez, Gertrude Odelia
Age 96, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born in Punta de Agua, NM on September 21, 1924. Gertrude was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, she was very loving and kind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Chavez; parents, Jose and Manuelita Torres; son, Victor Chavez and grandson, Jaymen Joel Martinez.
Gertrude is survived by her children, Dolores "Dolly" Mora, Tony Chavez and wife, Rose, Viola Allman and husband, Robert, Elizabeth Cervantes and husband, Stephen, Luis Chavez, David Chavez; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 pm Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW. A Mass to be celebrated on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 10:00 am at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW. Interment to follow at Pajarito Cemetery.
