Cardenas, Gumercindo "Gomez"
Age 67, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022. He was born in Zacatecas,  on January 26, 1955. Gomez was born and raised in Zacatecas, Mexico. He later moved to CD. Juarez where he met the love of his life, Antonia and was married to her for 46 years. They moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1979 to have and raise their family. They celebrated their 25 year anniversary in Albuquerque with family and friends. Gomez loved to laugh and joke with family and friends. His family treasure, he was a devoted husband, father, and great grandfather. He enjoyed gathering with his family and was a very hard worker. He will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Micaela Cardenas; sisters, Juana Cardenas and Rosalba Rodriguez Regina Rodriguez;
Gomez is survived by his wife, Antonia Cardenas; children, Anna Monge and husband, Sandro, Juan Cardenas and wife, Carmen; grandchildren, Sandy Monge and husband, Roman Scobell, Joel Monge and wife, Byanka Alcala, Nayeli Monge, Marissa Cardenas, Anahi Cardenas, Lanay Cardenas; great grandchildren, Osvaldo Scobell, Nicole Scobell, Alissa Monge.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, April 29, 2022 at  San Jose Catholic church, 2401 Broadway Blvd SE. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
