Igenia Juliana Vigil was called home to her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2016. Igenia was a loving and strong women whose priority was always God and her family. She will forever be in our hearts, loved and missed. Momma we are joyful that you are in God’s Precious Arms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmel Vigil, Sr.; daughters, Mary Teresa, Nancy and Juliana; son, Abrian; son-in-law, Donald Thompson; great-grandson, Brandyn Cordova; parents, Damacio and Mary Griego; stepfather, Al Gallegos; sisters, Cora Garcia, Mable Saavedra, and Lillian Griego.
She is survived by her children, Donald and Rita Phifer, Sylvia Thompson, Carmel Jr. and Joyce Vigil, Reyes and Linda Montoya, Victor and Rosemarie Vigil, Raymond and Janet Sanchez, Jacqueline and Judith Vigil; 22 grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, wonderful extended family and friends.
A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SW. Interment to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Reception following services.
