John Chris Garcia, age 56, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 28th, in Scottsdale, Arizona due to complications from a kidney transplant.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 27 yrs. Frances Garcia; his mother Bertha; daughters Ashley, Angelina (Keith); son Adrian Ulibarri (Raquel); father John Sr.; brothers Donald (Hugh), Tony (Anna); sisters Pauline & Esther; cousin, but loved like a brother, Glenn Ortiz (Marianne); brother-in-law Jerry Gallegos (Tommie); grandchildren August, Kaylie, Cody, Adrianna, Alyssa, Gabriel, Lavonne and Josh. He also has many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

John "Chris" was born on February 2, 1962 in Denver, CO. He loved riding his Harley, welding, watching the Denver Broncos and being with his family. John will be remembered as a loving husband, son, father, Grandfather, cherished friend and for making up his own jokes and stories.

A viewing will be at Garcia’s Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW Albuquerque, NM 87102, on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A rosary will be recited immediately after the viewing at 7:00 p.m. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Edwin’s Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow.

Pallbearers are Tim Lopez, Pete Martinez, Adrian Ulibarri, Cody Garcia, Tony Garcia and Glenn Ortiz. Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Martinez, Keith Garcia, Jerry Gallegos and Brandon Grace.
