Jonathan Benny Garcia

Jonathan Benny Garcia, born on September 26, 1982, in a family that cherished love and togetherness, left this world on September 4, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Benny L. Garcia, and his grandfathers, Leo Salcido and Frank Alderette. His extended family included his cherished tia, Rose Barnhart, and tio, Lucky, whose memories remain close to the hearts of those who knew them.

Jonathan is survived by his devoted mother, Edwardina Denise Alderette, and his grandmother, Mary Esther Garcia. He leaves behind his loving sisters, Bennette and Jebrene Garcia, who shared countless cherished moments with him throughout their lives. He was a proud father to his daughters, Evangalene, Aliyah, and Allianna, as well as a stepson, Raymundo, who brought joy to his life.

Jonathan's family also includes a vibrant network of nieces and nephews: Andres, Aaliyah, Jezerine, Marina, Jeshua, Thomas, Tabitha, Santiago, Xavier, Ares, Jayden, Octiva, Cindi, and Azariah. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit and the lessons he imparted during his life.

In addition to his family, Jonathan was surrounded by a circle of close friends, including Victor and Raymond, whose companionship and support were invaluable to him. His tias, Ramona Alarid, Becky Gonzalez, Joey Alderette, and Rowena Cardoza, along with his tio, Ace Alderette, played important roles in his life, offering guidance and love.

Jonathan was a bright soul whose laughter and light will be deeply missed. As we remember him, let us celebrate the beautiful memories and the love he shared, ensuring that his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Garcia Mortuary Chapel of Angels, 624 8th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a rosary from 11:00 am to 11:30 am and, a celebration of life service from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
