Raymond Benavidez, age 83, born and raised in Casa Colorada, passed away on June 03, 2023. Raymond was born on April 26, 1940 in Casa Colorada. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing and going to the casino with his wife.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Gaspar and Ursisinia Benavidez; brothers, Selso Benavidez, Cele Benavidez, Jose (Pat) Benavidez, Gregorio Benavidez, Richard Benavidez and Louie Benavidez; sister, Carol Gabaldon.

Raymond is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; children Erwin Benavidez and wife, Angela, Evelyn Gallucci and husband, Pasquale, Michelle Candelaria and husband, Pete, Joseph Benavidez; nine Grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Bill Benavidez and a countless number of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will take place on June 13, 2023 from 8:00 am to 8:30 am with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 am with a Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. Interment will follow at Casa Colorada Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Benavidez, Anthony Lucero, Gregory Santistevan, Jonah Candelaria, Mateo Benavidez, Rick Benavidez.
