Jose Santillanes III

Santillanes, Jose Adolfo III
Age 57, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. He attended Albuquerque High and was a scholar and athlete. He played football at UNM. He later joined the US Army. During his service in the military he married Linette Santillanes and they raised their family in Albuquerque. Jose was a very happy man. His treasure was his family. He was a very avid Raiders fan. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his son, Miguel Santillanes.
Jose is survived by his wife, Linette Santillanes; parents, Jose Adolfo Santillanes Jr. and Josephine Santillanes; children, Jose A. Santillanes IV and wife, Rachel Crager, Kaniho Santillanes, Gabriel Santillanes, Priscilla Santillanes; grandchild, Noelani Santillanes; siblings, Reno Santillanes, Dominic Santillanes and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Strong Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave. SE. Interment will be held on June 06, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
