Vigil, Jose T.

Age 85, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Jose enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, going to the casino, drinking bud light and spending time with family and friends. He was a longtime parishioner of Ascension Parish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and , Rosalita Vigil; wife, Mary F. Vigil; two sons, Michael And Victor Vigil and 11 brothers.

Jose is survived by his children, Henry Vigil and wife, Lucy, Yolanda Herrera, Jessie Vigil, Leroy Vigil, Joseph Vigil, Jeanie Michael and husband, Raymond, Don Vigil; brothers, Charlie Vigil and wife, Virginia, Pancho Vigil and wife, Lorenza; grandchildren, Ida Vigil, Carla Vigil, Lorenzo Maestas, Monica Maestas, Donnie Vigil, Gabriel Hernandez, Cruzita Gonzales, Jessica Vigil, Denise Lopez, Michael Herrera, Matthew Herrera, Michael Lovato, Larry Michael, Monique Michael; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Rio de las Estancias nursing home and son, Henry Vigil for being there everyday and all the extra things you did.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, on the corner of 8th and Iron. Interment to follow at Parajito Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Jordan Vigil, Michael Lovato, Donnie Vigil, Gabriel Hernandez, Michael Herrera and Matthew Herrera.
