Vigil, Jose  Espidion (Speedy)
Age 82, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born in San Jose, NM on July 4, 1938. Jose loved cars and house plants. He very much enjoyed working in the yard after retirement from Electric Supply company at the age of 62. The highlight of his days were playing with his grandchildren and taking them for ice cream. He loved painting houses for the family he took pride in his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Benito and Maria Vigil; siblings, Jenny Castillo, Donilia Vigil, Benito Vigil, Alice "Shorty" Armijo, Jane V. Mason.
Jose is survived by his wife, Andrea Vigil; children, Angelica Zamora, Phillip Vigil, Angela Gonzales and husband, Matthew, Rudy Vigil; grandchildren, Erica Mendez, Deandra Zamora, Joshua Gonzales, Maya Vigil; great grandchildren, Nathaniel Gonzales, Malaya Gonzales, Noah Vigil, Lily Vigil; great grandchildren, Anthony Mendez, Fabian Mendez and Diego Mendez; brother, Joe "Little Joe" Vigil and wife, Sandra and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
A private rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Service to follow at 9:30 at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, 624 8th Street SW. If you wish to listen, please park outside the chapel and turn your radio to 88.1 FM.  A public visitation will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
