Sanchez, Larry Joe "Joey"

Passed away on January 6, 2020, he was born on October 29, 1964 in Raton, NM to Beverly Sanchez. He was adopted and raised by his maternal grandparents, Benny and Pauline Sanchez of Raton, NM and step- parents, Gilbert and Mary Kimbrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Sanchez Kimbrell, Benny Sanchez, Pauline Sanchez; two brothers, Terry (Flaco) Sanchez and Theodore Sanchez.

He is survived by his two sisters, Yvonne (Cookie) Sanchez and spouse, John Sisneros of Raton, NM, Karen Kelly Garcia and husband, Joseph Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, Larry Sanchez and wife, Conchita of Rio Rancho, NM, Dickie (Head) Sanchez and significant other, Lucy Martinez of Raton, NM; two nephews, Phillips Sanchez and spouse, ChrisMartin, of Albuquerque, NM, Paul Sanchez and wife, Stephanie Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; nieces, Bobbielynn Sanchez, Payge Kimbrell and significant other, Jerome Chavez of Albuquerque, Elisha Maes of Albuquerque, NM; four great nieces, Chanelle, Aaliyah, Mya and JerRae; two great nephews, Juan Ray and, Paul Jr. whom he loved very much. Joey loved cooking, eating, chocolate and going to the casino. Joey had a heart of gold, he would give you the shirt off his back, he loved going out helping and feeding the homeless. He loved everyone he came across and he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace Joey.

A Visitation will take place from 6:30-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, on the corner of 8th and Iron.
