Age 82, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. He was born and raised in Villanueva, NM. He was drafted in 1952 for combat in Korea. Leo was a people person and a inspirational role model to follow. He enjoyed gardening and going to the rodeo.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresa; two children, Jennifer K. Garcia and husband, Johnny, Blake Villanueva and wife, Natalia; four grandchildren, Angel, Brenda Nervaiz and husband, Angelo, Samara and Alex; three great grandchildren, Raelene, Jaylene and Aubrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Rebecca Villanueva and one granddaughter, Angel Antonette Benavidez.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2014 at Garcia Mortuary Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm, and a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Interment to be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 9:00 am.
