Louisa was born on November 21, 1917 in Tome, NM. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Amalia Lucero. She passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2016. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, being with family and praying the rosary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Amalia Lucero; husband, Gregorio Monatno; brother, Antonio Lucero; sister, Fela Romero; seven grandchildren, Lawrence Romero, Stevie Romero, Wilfred Nieto, Ivan Garcia, Melanie Barela, Martina Artiaga, Jerome Artiaga; two great grandson, Andrew (Chumos) Ruiz and Isaiah Rivera.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Garcia, Dolores Ruiz, Nancy Lerma, Lucy Artiaga, Richard Barela and wife, Virginia, Danny Barela and wife, Judy, Michael Lucero; 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at San Clemente Church in Los Lunas. A Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Clemente, Interment was at San Clemente Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rafael Espinoza, Robert Lerma, Angelo Rivera, Melissa Ruiz, Jessica Barela and Peaches Artiaga.
