Lydia Aguirre Gonzales was born May 1, 1941 in Elephant Butte NM to Rosendo and Ignacia Aguirre. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Antonio) Armijo and Deena (Tomas) De La Riva; five grandchildren, Tomas De La Riva Jr., Julian De La Riva, Megan De La Riva, Selestra De La Riva and Antonio Armijo III; one great granddaughter Layla De La Riva; two sisters, Louisa (Raymond) Apodaca and Dolores (Nick) Ortega and brother in law Louis Trujillo and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Dora Trujillo. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 5:00 pm at Garcia's Mortuary in Albuquerque, NM and at her request her cremains will be laid to rest with her parents on Sunday October 12, 2014 at 9:00 am at the Hot Springs Cemetery in Truth or Consequences, NM. Lydia will truly be missed by all her family and friends. Special thanks goes to Ambercare Hospice and Gentiva Hospice of Albuquerque for taking great care of our mother.
