Mom was a loving, caring, and supportive Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother.
Mom and Dad were married for 68 years. She was the glue that held our family together. She was also the strong pillar in our family. Mom always had a great sense of humor. Always funny and an independent and strong woman. She truly was a beautiful Mother.
Most of all she was a giver with a generosity that was striking. No one ever left her house without eating her meals as she always prepared meals in large pots. We are so thankful to have been blessed with such an amazing mother. Mom lit up our lives. She was loving, loved God, was fearless, and fun to be around.
During mom's life, we found her to be brave and inspiring. She who never sat still was forced to confront stillness, and it was hard for her, but she never complained and always said that she felt fine, even though she wasn’t fine.
On her last day on earth, we all gathered around her bed and the love that surrounded her was felt throughout the hospital room. God Almighty gave Mom the strength to stay awake during the time that we said our good-byes to her. We all took turns praying and sharing memories of mom. We also listened to Samantha sing with her beautiful voice. Mom being so strong fought right up until her last breath. After Mom left us, we knew that Mom had met Jesus face to face, for she looked so peaceful, and so pain free. Father God Thank you, for receiving our loving Mother into Your loving arms. Hallelujah!
