James, Mark Field
Age 56, went to rest on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was a graduate of Sandia High School Class of 80. Mark was a Silver Smith, a sports card collector, magician and he enjoyed hunting and classic country music. Mark started his career in the insurance field. Ever moving on, Howard Mock of Jaynes Corporation hired him on the spot. As Howard would often reminisce " I wasn't going to let a man in a three piece suit, cowboy boots and a mohawk, asking for a position as a skilled laborer ever get away." Mark finally found his dream job-his calling, the open road, retiring from ABF in 2010 to spend precious time with family and loved ones. Mark never met a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back if his jacket wasn't warm enough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Clinton James, and Frances Louise James; sisters, Marianne Louise Smith, Frances Lynnette Kowalski and brother in law, Doug Kowalski.
Mark is survived by siblings, Katherine Joyce James, John Clinton James, Robin Lea Cicchetti; nephews, John Frank Smith and wife, Trish, Jason and Nolan Kowalski; nieces, Melanie Garner and husband, Beau and Emily Cicchetti; great nephews, Brandon and Jeremy Smith, Dylan and Jack Kowalski, Broc and Hank Garner and his two dogs, Lucy and Jake.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque.
