Mary Aguilar born on April 23, 1938 age 81, loving wife, mother and sister passed away peacefully at her home on August 14, 2019 surrounded by her family. Mary worked for Bernalillo County as a crossing guard and retired after 44 years of service. Mary was a devoted Catholic and could not leave Sunday Mass without saying goodbye to her favorite Father Graham. Mary also loved to tend to her flowers and fruit trees.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Rito and Maria Alarcon; brother Ismael Alarcon and son-in-law Ralph Cordova.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus G. Aguilar of 57 years; daughter, Sylvia Cordova; son, Jesus R. Aguilar and wife Michelle; granddaughter, Vanessa Griego and Juan; great granddaughter, Viviana Sofia; sisters, Gregoria Hernandez and Jimmy, Soledad Montano and Louie, Susie Benavides, Marcella Espinosa; brothers, Pete Alarcon, Joe Alarcon and Veronica, Ladislado Alarcon and Jeanette, John Alarcon and Marie and special friend Frances Valdez as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW in Albuquerque, NM. A viewing will begin at 7:45 a.m., Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m., and Funeral Mass to follow. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. A reception to honor the memory of Mary’s life will be held at the Holy Rosary parish hall after the interment. Pallbearer’s will be, Richard Montano, Louie Montano, Sixto Padilla, Michael Alarcon, Patrick Palmer and Jimmy A. Hernandez.
