Portillo, Mildred Dolores
Age 80, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 1, 1941. Mildred was a devoted mother and nana. She enjoyed shopping trips with her daughter, Cathy and cooking for her family. We will miss her red chili. Mildred loved dancing at family gatherings. She was a sweet and loving nana, she taught her family about faith as she was a devout Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Bennie Romero; husband, Rosendo Portillo.
Mildred is survived by children, Jerry Chavez and wife, Jamie Chavez, Cathy Chavez; grandchildren, Dave Sanchez, Paul Sanchez, Kate Chavez, Jesse Chavez; great grandchildren, Lizzy Sanchez, Brody Sanchez, Brinley Sanchez, Zion Sanchez; siblings, Mary Helen Jaramillo and Marilyn Lopez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:00 am with a Rosary to follow at 11:00 am and a Prayer Service at 11:30 am at Garcia Mortuary~Chapel of Angels, 624 8th Street SW.  Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
