Orlando Martinez

Orlando L. Martinez, 78 years old, went to Heaven on March 6, 2023.  Orlando was born on June 9, 1944 in Clayton, New Mexico.  He served our country in the United States Navy from 1962 -1966. He retired as a Printer from the Albuquerque Publishing Company after 34 years.  Orlando is survived by his wife of 50 years, Antonia Martinez; his children, Adelina McDaniel and husband, Kevin of Oklahoma City, Kenneth Martinez and wife, Erica of Albuquerque; sisters, Dorothy CdeBaca, Rebecca Sundberg, Roma Clay and husband, Jan, AnnaMarie Archuleta and husband, Fred, Louellen Martinez, Nora Silva, and brothers, Dennis Martinez and Ricky Martinez and wife, Christine. Orlando is survived by six grandchildren, Kayla Gonzales and husband, Jeremy, Molly Moss and husband, Dakota, David Martinez, Emily Kuehl and husband, Gage, Dylan Martinez, and Valerie Martinez.  Orlando also has five great grandchildren, Bentley Moss, Abigail Gonzales, Weston Kuehl, Piper Kuehl and Bowen Moss and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Beatrice Martinez; brothers in law, Freddie Silva, John CdeBaca, Carlos Sandoval and Joey Sandoval and sister in law, Mary Blan. Orlando was a loving husband, the best dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He was always patient and kind and he loved his wife, kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 6:00-7:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.  

Pallbearers will be David Martinez, Jeremy Gonzales, Dylan Martinez, Kevin McDaniel, Henry Espinosa, Kayla Gonzales and Gage Kuehl. Honorary pallbearers will be Molly Moss, Emily Kuehl, Valerie Martinez, Bentley Moss, Abby Gonzales, Weston Kuehl, Piper Kuehl and Bowen Moss.
