Paul Chapman

On Sunday, February 28, 2021, Paul O. Chapman stepped into eternity at the age of 83.
Paul was born July 7, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois to Oliver and Marie Chapman, the oldest of four children, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his family as a child.  On January 12, 1957, he married the love of his life Senaida Tafoya, and together they raised two daughters, Karen and Jody.  He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1963, and successfully pursued several careers after his honorable discharge.  Paul viewed retirement as an open door to the next opportunity, and for Paul, life was simply overflowing with opportunities.
Paul had a passion for building, he loved designing and creating homes for families to make memories.  He loved to travel, learn new things and any chance to explore the world around him.  Paul saw all of life as a gift from our Creator, and he lived each day with the full intention of enjoying every moment.  He was a hard worker, the first to jump in when help was needed, a master of seeing the bright side in any situation - strong, kind and compassionate.  Paul's legacy is one of faith, courage, and a daily reminder that "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Paul is survived by his wife, Senaida; daughter, Karen and husband, Dwight, daughter, Jody Chapman, Eddie Gutierrez; eight grandchildren, Ebony, Christina, Michelle, Amber and husband, Dany, Amaris and husband, Fernando, Vania, Gloria, and Andres and wife, Marissa; and 15 great grandchildren, Everest, Joshua, Alexis, Amara, Paul, August, Aurelio, Everett, Wyatt, Isabella, Moriah, Jaden, Kayla, Zechariah, and Zuria.
