Priscilla “Dida” Torres, 89, was called to be with our Lord on August 2, 2017. Born May 20, 1928 to Juan P and Julia Chavez. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, Priscilla was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Benny (Mary), Bobby (Della), James (Bessie), Eloy, Dickie and Pat Chavez; sisters, Sarah Brady (Bill) and Rosie Soto (Roland), brother in law Clemente Chavez, sister in law Viola Hovey Chavez; husbands, Alfred P Garcia and Ross Torres and daughter in law Theresa. She is survived by brother David Lee and sister Bernadine Chavez and sister in law Susan Chavez; her children, Ida Herrera (Richard), Elizabeth Garcia, Gregory Torres, Judith Neuman, Diane Archibeque (Ramon) and Beverly Torres; grandchildren, Tanya (Anthony), Tamara, Gregory, Sylvana, Trista, Elias, Veronica, Rebecca, Andres, Elissia and Rose; great grandchildren, Gabriella, Maya, Isaac and Devin and beloved pets, Bob, Honey and Tamale.
A Rosary will be recited at Garcia Mortuary 717 Stover Ave SW on Monday August 7, 2017 at 7:00pm. A Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception 619 Copper Ave NW on August 8, 2017 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary. Pallbearers will be, Robert Chavez, John Michael Brady, Chris Chavez, Nathan Duran, Ron John Soto and Ken Mark Chavez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Perea and Joseph Cruz.
