Robert (Tata) was born in San Pablo, New Mexico on June 7, 1944, and he went home to the Lord on December 29, 2021, at the age of 77 years old. He passed away in the comfort of his home in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his son John Robert Gonzales, father, Ricardo Gonzales; mother, Zenaida Gomez Gonzales; brothers, Jose Navor Gonzales, Jose Norberto Gonzales, Jose Maclovio Gonzales and sister, Viola Gonzales Aiello.

He is survived by his sister, MaryAnn Montoya (Aaron); brother-in-law, Rick Aiello; ex-wife, Esther Sandoval Gonzales; daughter, Sandra Gonzales and sons, Ruben Gonzales (Nadine), Andrew Gonzales (Denise); grandchildren, Robert, Angelina (Aaron), Patricia (Lonny), Lil Andrew (Christina), Cecilia (Antonio), Tatiana, Veronica and Juanito; sisters-in-law, Annabelle, Elsa, Amelia, Lucinda and too many nephews, nieces and cousins to be named.

Funeral services will be held on March 26, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas NM. A Rosary at will be recited at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial service to follow at San Pablo Cemetery following.  Reception services TBA
