Ruben "LOON3Y" Trujillo

Taken too soon at age 52. He passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019. He was born in Las Cruces, NM on January 13, 1967, to parents Jose and Priscilla Trujillo.

Ruben was one hell of a truck driver and biker. He loved fishing, low riders, and celebrating Sunday Funday at the library. He loved listening to loud old school jams, dancing and cruising on his Harley, Nelly Bell.

One thing Ruben loved the most in his life was his family. He was a proud father and grandfather. GG, was a nickname he earned from his only granddaughter. He was a rock and guardian for his parents and cherished his time with them.

Anyone that met Ruben, never forgot him. He had an energy that no one could beat. He always had something smart to say like, "I'm either in the streets hauling glass or on my bike hauling ass!"

Ruben is survived by daughter, Dominique "Nikkie" Hopkins; granddaughter, Sofia M. Hopkins; brothers, Vincent M. Trujillo, Andrew J. Trujillo; 12 nieces and nephews and uncountable number of friends that he considered family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels , Located on 8th Street and Iron with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Final viewing will take place from 8:30-9:00 am with a Mass to be celebrated on Thursday, March 7, 2019, 9:00 am, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd., SW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Carlos "Cucuy" Garciabazan, Vincent "Hito" Trujillo, Anthony "Antone" Moya, Cipriano "Cippy" Garcia, Dong "Blondie" Horn, Randy "Smoke" Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ruben "RuRu" Garcia, Mike Tull, Stephon "Crow" Jones " and Matt Zubia.

The family would like to thank you from the bottom of their hearts. The amount of support and love from Ruben's friends and their family members has helped them the most during this tremendous loss.
