Lopez, Telesfora "Flora" Sanchez

Flora was born in Manzano, New Mexico on October 28, 1930, to Francisco and Maria Agada Sanchez.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brigida (Griego) Tapia, Regina Silva and Juanita Sanchez; brothers, Miguel, Ernesto and Eugenio

Telesfora is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Lopez; brother, Florencio Sanchez; sister, Oralia Candelaria and husband, Alfredo; goddaughters, Rosa Sanchez, Helen Nunez, Rosemary Ortega; nieces, Bernadette and Jolyssa and well as Jovanah and Bobby who were blessed to be part of her life and other nieces and nephews.

Growing up Flora's life revolved around the Catholic Church, although her favorite time was participating in all the fiestas especially the dances where she would enjoy the company of her family and friends. When she moved to Albuquerque in 1963 she worked in a laundry and through the encouragement of her friend, Berna Candelaria along with Oralia studied to be a Nurse's Aide and worked for many years at Bataan Hospital (before it became Lovelace). Before meeting David, Flora enjoyed life and many adventures with her cousin and friend, Maria Sanchez. When she married they moved to Grants and after a few years David brought her back to her beloved Barelas where she became a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and made many friends whom she blessed with her love, wisdom and support. Flora had a lifelong devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and would encourage everyone to "Pray the Rosary daily".

A Visitation will be held from on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 8:30-9:00 am at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 309 Stover Ave. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:15 am and a Mass to follow at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Lawrence Sanchez, Christopher Benavidez, Anthony Candelaria, David Candelaria, Robert Candelaria and Bobby Sena.
